Cuban Cyclists to Take Part in Tour of Venezuela

Havana.- Cuba will compete with two teams in the 54th edition of the Cycling Tour of Venezuela, as part of their training for the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla, Colombia, in 2018.

So far, 12 Cuban male and eight female cyclists have qualified for the regional games in the track and route modalities.

The main team is made up of Félix Nodarse, Yasmany Balmaceda, Onel Santaclara, Félix Sosa, Javier Revilla and Cristian Pérez. The latter won the silver medal in the individual pursue race at the Youth Pan-American Games.

The second team includes Yan Carlos Arias, Alejandro Parra, Leandro Marcos, Yoandry Freyre, Hidalgo Vera and Emilio Pérez.

The Tour of Venezuela will consist of ten stages on the territories of the states of Trujillo, Mérida, Lara, Portuguesa, Carabobo, Yaracuy, Aragua, Guárico, Anzoátegui, Sucre and Monagas.
