Canadian Chain Gains Ground in Cuba |

Havana.- The Canadian chain Blue Diamond Resorts ranks second in terms of operations by foreign companies in Cuba, where it runs 19 hotels.
Blue Diamond is the hotel division of Sunwing Travel Group, a leading tour operator in Canada that sends holidaymakers to the Antilles and the Caribbean.
Its portfolio consists of 8,400 rooms in Havana, Jibacoa, Varadero, Cayo Santa María, Cayo Coco and Holguín.
The chain also operates in association with the Cuban groups Gaviota, Cubanacán and Gran Caribe, and manages in Cuba the brands Royalton, Grand Memories, Memories and Starfish.
Blue Diamond administers 30 hotels totaling more than 11,000 rooms in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Costa Rica and Cuba.
