New Technology to Produce Canned Food
Monday, November 13, 2017

Havana.- Cuba is preparing a broad development program to modernize the technology used to produce canned vegetables.

In that regard, a Doipack line of flexible containers is being assembled in the Majagua factory in eastern Ciego de Avila province.

In addition, production of Taoro and La Conchita juices, which are highly demanded in the local market, is expected to be resumed in January.

As part of the project, negotiations are under way with countries like the Czech Republic and Vietnam, and with suppliers of spices and condiments, as well as producers of polyethylene packaging bags.

The company Conservas de Vegetales, which has 11 production and commercialization units, in addition to a main logistic office, supplies canned fruit, tomato, sauces, spices and condiments and fried potato.
