World Tourism Grows 7 Percent |

Madrid.- The world's tourist destinations received 901 million international holidaymakers from January to August 2017, accounting for a 7-percent growth compared to the same period last year.
According to the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the largest increases were reported in Africa (9 percent) and Europe (8 percent).
In addition, in Asia and the Pacific, tourism grew 6 percent, followed by the Middle East (5 percent) and the Americas (3 percent).
Among the world's top ten markets, expenditures by international tourists rose rapidly in China (19 percent), the Republic of Korea (12 percent) and the United States (8 percent).
In addition, the demand increased from Russia (27 percent) and Brazil (35 percent).
