Cienfuegos to Increase Exports |

Havana.- The central Cuban province of Cienfuegos will increase exports in 2018 after including henequen fibers and Persian lime.
The two products can be exported successfully to clients in Europe.
In 2016, Cienfuegos exported henequen fibers to Turkey, where it was highly demanded.
The henequen plant takes three to five years to bear fruit and producers have to wait until the leaves are 85-90 centimeters long to extract the fibers.
Cienfuegos also exported Persian lime to France.
