Cruise Tourism Grows in Honduras |

Tegucigalpa.- The tourism industry in Honduras has grown in 2017, especially in the modality of cruise ships.
According to estimates by local authorities, 1.2 million cruise passengers are expected to visit the country this year.
Another one million holidaymakers will arrive in Honduras by plane, thus creating a favorable situation in a short term in the sector.
If 2.2 million foreign tourists visit the country, revenues might total 900 million dollars.
Honduras ranks fourth in terms of travel and tourism competitiveness in Central America, only preceded by Panama, Costa Rica and Guatemala, in that order.
