World Elite Fencers to Compete in Havana |

Havana.- This month, the Cuban capital will host one of the stages of the World Fencing Cup in the sword modality, which will be attended by several of the world's best fencers.
The event will take place at the PABEXPO exhibition hall and will be attended by 89 fencers, including Julia Beljajeva, from Estonia, who is in the first position in the world ranking with 174 points.
Beljajeva won the individual bronze medal and the gold medal by teams at the World Championships held in Leipzig, Germany, last year.
Another prominent fencer is Yiwen Sun, from China, who ranks third in the world and won the individual bronze medal in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2016.
Cuba will be represented by Yamilka Rodríguez, who is expected to lead the island's delegation in the two-day tournament and be in the finals of the individual and team contests.
