Havana.- The joint venture Cervecería BUCANERO S.A, based in eastern Cuba, produced 1.5 hectoliters of beer in 2017.
Company executives pointed out that the factory has three lines that guarantee production of four beer brands (Cristal, Bucanero, Mayabe and Cacique) that are distributed throughout the country.
Since 2010, the company has reported a gradual increase in production and it set a record production of canned beer in 2017.
In addition, BUCANERO S.A won the Gold Medal with its beer Cristal at a major international contest held last year.
The joint venture involves the Corporación Alimentaria S.A. (Coralsa) and the Canadian firm Cerbuco Brewing Inc., which is a branch of the Belgian company Interbrew N.V., one of the world's major producers of beer.
