Airbus Closes Billion-Worth Deal

Paris.- The European aircraft maker Airbus closed transactions worth 42 billion euros, the largest ones in the consortium's history.

The operation consists of supplying 430 planes to Indigo Partners, a U.S. investments fund that specializes in transportation.

The deal includes supplying 274 A320neo planes and 156 A321neo aircrafts, which are the most modern versions of single-aisle planes.

The planes will be delivered to the low-cost airlines Frontier Airlines (United States), JetSmart (Chile), Volaris (Mexico) and Wizz Air (Hungary).

Most planes will be delivered to Wizz Air (72 A320 and 74 A321 aircrafts), while Frontier will receive 100 A320 and 34 A321 planes; JetSmart will get 56 A320 and 14 A321 aircrafts, and Volaris will be supplied with 46 A320 and 34 A321 planes.
