International Badminton in Cuba
Monday, January 15, 2018

Havana.- Cuba will host two major international badminton competitions in 2018, as part of the country's sports agenda.

The program includes the 19th Giraldilla de La Habana International Tournament and the Central American and Caribbean Championships.

According to experts, the two events are good opportunities for the Cuban players to practice before other major world events, especially for the youngest athletes, who have little international experience.

Cuba's best chances for medal are in the hands of the island's best player, Osleni Guerrero, as well as Leodannis Martínez and Tahimara Oropeza.

In 2017, Cuba made several achievements in badminton, including three gold medals at the Giraldilla de la Habana International Tournament.
