New Food-Processing Plant in Central Cuba |

Havana.- A modern food-processing plant equipped with European technology was inaugurated in the central Cuban province of Cienfuegos.
According to experts, the plan will produce a dozen items in different formats for local consumption and the rest of the country.
The plant has a laboratory and a drainage system with an oxidation lagoon, and is expected to produce 250 tons of canned food.
Construction works started in 2012, as part of the country's policy to boost local business.
The factory has already closed deals with companies that will supply the raw materials so that the production process cannot be interrupted.
