Contributions to Healthcare Sector in Eastern Cuba |

Havana.- The Medical Biophysics Center, in eastern Santiago de Cuba province, made major contributions to the country's public health sector in 2017.
According to experts from that institution, the dose of X rays administered to pediatric patients by Computerized Axial Tomography (CAT) was optimized at 37 percent.
In addition, a methodology related to the application of magnetic resonance to diagnose hematological diseases was designed to minimize the blood sample.
The Center also participated in the installation of the Eastern Network of Medical Images, which includes the development of a new version of the Imagis software.
The institution will contribute to the studies being made on Heberprot- P, the Cuban drug against diabetic foot ulcers.
