Havana.- Cuba will host the beach volleyball qualifying tournament for the Youth Olympic Games in its 2018 edition.
The tournament is one of the qualifiers of the North, Central American and Caribbean Confederation (NORCECA) and will take place at the National Sports School.
Cuban officials pointed out that women's and men's pairs from the NORCECA central zone, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Cuba will compete in the event with players born between 2000 and 2003.
The men's and women's winners will guarantee their presence in the Olympic event, scheduled from October 6 to 18 in Argentina, where participants will compete in 31 other sports.
The Cuban representatives have intensified their training by participating in two phases of the national beach volleyball circuit.
