Cuban Volleyball Players to Complete Training in Japan
Monday, February 12, 2018

Havana.- The Cuban women's volleyball team will complete its training in Japan, as a step prior to their participation in the World Championships.

The Cuban team is one of seven NORCECA teams that have qualified for the event and held their training in Hokkaido, where they played several warm-up games against the Hokkaido Voreas.

The teams that will train in Japan before the tournament are Trinidad and Tobago, Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Canada, the Dominican Republic and the defending champions of the United States.

The initiative was possible thanks to the support of the Japanese government and several companies, all of which will contribute to the success of the World Volleyball Championships.

Twenty-four teams distributed in four groups (six teams each) will take part in the championships, which will take place in six Japanese venues. The first four teams in each group will go to the second phase.
