Cuban Medical Authorities Fosters Cancer Prevention in Las Tunas |

Havana.- The healthcare system in eastern Las Tunas province is promoting preventive actions against different types of malignant tumors.
In this strategy, attention is paid on risk factors and early tests, which favors the effectiveness of treatments.
Early diagnosis is the priority to apply the indicated treatment, either through surgery, chemotherapy, hormone therapy or immunotherapy.
This guarantees a better medical procedure to extend the life of patients and, in certain cases, for their complete recovery.
Lung cancer continues to have the highest incidence, while cervical, buccal, prostate and colon cancers have been reduced, compared to the same period in previous years.
