Cruise Tourism Grows in Central Cuba
Monday, February 12, 2018

Havana.- The central province of Cienfuegos received 180 voyages made by cruise ships in the Bay of Jagua in 2017.

According to experts from Empresa de Servicios Portuarios en el Centro (ESPC), more than 32,000 tourists visited the city of Cienfuegos, whose downtown was declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

In this regard, 29 types of cruises ships visited the zone, which guarantees the services required and requested by their crews.

In January, 32 cruise visits were reported, and in February, that number is expected to total 20 in the Bay of Cienfuegos and 18 in the Trinidad.

Among the cruise ships that have docked in central Cuba are Adonia (United States), and MS Europe 2 and Louis Crystal, from the company Celestyal Cruises.
