Havana.- The National Ballet of Cuba will perform in the United States, as part of a tour scheduled for May and June.
According to the agenda, the company, directed by prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso, will stage Don Quixote in Chicago on May 18, 19 and 20, and at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington on May 29 and 30.
In the coliseum, the Cuban company will present Giselle, a choreographic version by Alonso herself, on May 31, and June 1, 2 (double show) and 3.
Meanwhile, to close the tour, the company will dance Giselle at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, in the city of Saratoga Springs, on June 6, 7 and 8.
The National Ballet of Cuba will also stage Gisselle, a classic Romantic choreography on the weekends of February 23, 24 and 25, and from March 1 to 4.
