Theater Goes to Cuban Mountains
Monday, March 12, 2018

Havana.- The 28th edition of the Theater Crusade took that cultural expression to some 60,000 residents in the eastern area of Guantanamo and Baracoa.

On this occasion, for 34 days, participants in the crusade showed several theater options, as part of an artistic strategy in favor of the communities.

The program included the companies Palabras al Viento and Guiñol, from Holguín, and Amares Social Clown, from Uruguay, which joined the project for the first time.

The artistic program consisted of an average of six free daily shows in towns, schools and squares, totaling 264 performances in 168 rural communities.

This tour also consisted of plays for all ages, regular performances and premieres, with animation of puppets, clowns, storytellers and other genres.
