AIRBUS Reduces Personnel in Europe
Monday, March 12, 2018

Paris.- The European aeronautical manufacturer AIRBUS decided to cut 3,700 jobs, a measure that affects four European nations.

The decision was caused by a lower production rate of the A380 giant aircraft, whose parts are manufactured in plants in Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom and France.

A similar trend affects the A400M military transport plane, which is assembled in Seville, Spain.

AIRBUS executives pointed out that part of the workforce could be assimilated by other programs, including the A350 model, whose production has increased.

The A380 aircraft, the largest passenger plane in the world, will have an annual production of six units, compared to 27 in 2015.
