Road Construction Makes Progress in Eastern Cuba
Monday, April 16, 2018

Havana.- Specialized forces are building the 225-meter-long bridge over the Toa River, in the eastern province of Guantanamo.

Venezuelan experts are participating in the assembly of the last 40 special steel beams to build the metallic structure of that important installation.

According to the plans, the work is scheduled for completion at the end of the first semester of this year.

It is worth mentioning that the project will have 72 of these fundamental pieces, of which the first 32 were already installed.

The project includes the construction of two embankments to approach the viaduct, as well as placing slabs of boards on the pedestrian sidewalks and railings, in the superstructure of the bridge.
