Debate on Vascular Surgery in Cuba
Monday, April 16, 2018

Havana.- The Cuban capital hosted a forum on vascular surgery and angiology, as part of the 8th Week of Scientific Friendship.

The event allowed participants to exchange experiences on the treatment of these ailments with participation of Cuban and foreign professionals.

The experts recalled that the peripheral vascular disease is one that obstructs the blood vessels farthest from the heart, that is, the arteries and veins that carry blood to and from the arms and legs and the organs of the abdomen.

The agenda included the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of peripheral vascular and arterial diseases of the lower limbs.

In addition, early vascular aging, the use of medicinal plants in angiology and primary health care in that field were also discussed at the event.
