National Ballet of Cuba Performs in U.S. Cultural Center
Monday, May 21, 2018

Havana.- The National Ballet of Cuba, directed by prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso, will perform in the coming weeks at the John F. Kennedy Center in the United States.

According to specialists, this action represents the return of the company to the stage where it debuted in that country four decades ago.

On this occasion, the Cuban ballet company will present a repertoire that includes the emblematic Giselle and Don Quixote.

The presentations are part of the Arts of Cuba Festival: From the Island to the World, which will open in the cultural institution with the presence of more than 200 Cuban artists.

The institution, which consists of nine theaters, will be dedicated to the event, in which 200 to 250 volunteers are expected to work.
