Cuban Hotel Wins Architecture Award
Monday, May 21, 2018

Havana.- The Grand Manzana Kempinski Hotel, located in the Cuban capital, was awarded the Versailles Continental Architecture Prize.

The establishment received that recognition at a ceremony held in Santiago, Chile, at the Hidalgo Castle of Cerro Santa Lucía

The hotel won the maximum laurels for the extraordinary restoration and renovation in the old building of the former Manzana de Gómez, in Old Havana.

The distinction highlighted the management of the company Kempinski and the tourism group Gaviota S.A., owner of the emblematic hotel.

The award places the Gran Manzana Kempinski Hotel among the finalists for the World Prix Versailles, whose award ceremony will take place at the headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris, France.

The hotel offers 246 rooms, including 50 suites, bars, restaurants, spa, gym and a heated rooftop pool.
