Tourist Arrivals Increase in Dominican Republic |

Santo Domingo.- Tourist destinations in the Dominican Republic received 1.7 million visitors in the first three months of this year.
According to the Association of Hotels and Tourism, that figure represents an increase of 7.7 percent compared to the same period in 2017.
Together with this, the hotel occupancy rate reached 85.7 percent in the period analyzed.
It is worth mentioning that in 2017, the country was visited by 6.1 million holidaymakers who arrived by air, as well as 1.1 million cruise travelers.
In January, the increase in tourist arrivals was 4 percent, followed by 3.9 percent in February and a dynamic rebound of 14.7 percent in March, a record in the country.
