Havana.- The U.S. company American Airlines will carry out the operations of regular cargo services between the United States and Cuba.
Operations include the transport of mail, parcels and express mail.
Executives from the airline pointed out that the ground teams in the United States and Cuba have worked to provide this new service that will benefit families in both countries.
It is worth mentioning that American Airlines operates nine daily flights to five destinations in Cuba, with connections from Miami to Havana, Holguín, Santa Clara, Varadero and Camagüey.
Previously, FedEx had been making preparations to be the first company in the United States to provide cargo services to Cuba, but in September 2017 it requested a postponement until June.
At the beginning of June, Washington and Havana agreed to establish the postal mail exchange permanently on direct flights, after the implementation for more than a year of an experimental plan.
