Cuba Exhibits Business Options in Turkey

Havana.- Cuba presented several business options to the representatives of the Turkish business sector.

Cuban officials stressed the importance of the island as a gateway to Turkish goods in Latin America and the Caribbean, with agreements of economic complementation with countries in the region.

It is worth mentioning that foreign investments in Cuba have tripled over the past ten years, and currently, more than 300 companies from 75 nations are operating in Cuba.

Cuba's priority is to promote investments in transportation, infrastructure, the agri-food industry, tourism and biotechnology, among other sectors.

Meanwhile, 35 company have established their operations in the Mariel Special Development Zone (ZEDM), with a turnover of more than 1.226 billion dollars.
