Natural Medicine in Eastern Cuba |

Havana.- The eastern Cuban province of Camagüey stands out for the contribution of natural medicines to pharmacies and healthcare units.
This activity is carried out by the Natural Medicine Production Center, which guarantees processed medications based on plant extracts and honey, such as syrups, tinctures and lotions, among others.
The raw materials are distributed in more than 30 establishments with dispensaries, and include phyto-pharmaceutical medicines, honey-based drugs, homeopathic medicines and floral therapy.
The institution also considers meeting the growing demand for products made from aloe, linden, passionflower, kidney tea and French oregano, among others.
In 2017, Camagüey produced five million bottles of natural and traditional medicines, and in 2018, production is expected to exceed that figure.
