Havana.- Cuban hand-rolled cigars, made of leaves of excellent quality, are exported to some 150 countries after a process that starts in the fields and ends in commercial establishments.
In that regard, Empresa de Tabaco Torcido José Martí is the parent company of the H.Upmann and Montecristo brands, although it produces more than 20 Havana cigar brands.
Every day, the company produces 14,000-16,000 Havana cigars and in extended days it can make 18,000-19,000 units of H.Upmann, Montecristo, Hoyos de Monterrey and Robaina cigars.
According to experts, brands differ in size, color, thickness, flavor and aroma, as some leaves give strength to the cigar, while others provide aroma and combustion.
Coupled with this, there is a rigorous training of the staff, since quality and excellence are essential in the production of Cuban cigars.
