Havana.- The Tomás (Titón) Gutiérrez Alea Research Center, in honor of a recognized figure of Cuban cinema, will open in Havana.
The headquarters of the institution is located in near the gallery of the actor Jorge Perugorría.
After inaugurated, creative workshops will be held in these facilities for young cinema enthusiasts, as well as other artistic expressions.
The center will also hold the books from the personal library of Gutiérrez Alea, the director of such outstanding films as "Memories of Underdevelopment" and "Strawberry and Chocolate".
In addition, the stationery and photographic heritage of the renowned moviemaker will be kept to be used for consultations.
