Havana.- The fiber cement factory in Sancti Spiritus, in central Cuba, resumed its productive operations after five years of inactivity.
The plant reactivated the molding line to manufacture water tanks used at homes and facilities of social interest.
Likewise, it assumed the production of polystyrene foam elements, which is supplied to seven provinces of the country.
The use of sheets of this material in the construction of houses reduces in a significant volume the consumption of timber, cement, steel and aggregates.
Regarding the tanks, the plant manufactures them in volumes ranging from 50 to 500 gallons and it supplies about two dozen of them every day.
