Cuban Medicine Benefits Diabetic Patients
Monday, July 9, 2018

Havana.- The Cuban drug Heberprot-P, used to treat diabetic foot ulcers, has benefited more than 5,000 patients in the eastern province of Camagüey.

The formulation, developed in Cuba, has been administered for 11 years in the territory, where a reduction in the rate of amputations has been reported.

Coupled with this, care is provided for those at risk of ulcers. Some 48,000 diabetic patients are in the province.

Medical treatment with Heberprot-P can stimulate tissue growth and reverse acute lesions in the feet of diabetic patients.

It is currently used in more than 50 countries, including Venezuela, Brazil, Algeria, Mexico, Angola and Ecuador.
