Cultural Award Granted to Emblematic Cuban City |

Havana.- The city of Trinidad, in the central Cuban province of Sancti Spiritus, was declared an Artisanal City after being evaluated by the World Council of Crafts.
Previously, the city was visited by members of the aforementioned international organization from 11 countries, including Chile, Colombia, Guatemala and Mexico.
During the trip, they visited sites of high historic and socio-cultural value, such as the Manaca Iznaga farm-house, in Valle de los Ingenios.
It is worth mentioning that a file was prepared to accompany the nomination and in 2015, the candidacy submitted by Cuba was approved.
Cities of such countries as China, India, Iran, Chile and Denmark have received that status and now Trinidad was included in that list.
