Nuclear Medicine in Cuban Health System |

Havana.- The Cuban health system promotes the use of nuclear medicine, as part of efforts to use the atom peacefully in society.
In this regard, experts from the Nuclear Energy and Advanced Technologies Agency (AENTA) held debates about the production of radio-pharmaceuticals to treat cancer and other diseases.
They also evaluated the effects generated by scientific collaboration with Russian experts, as well as an integrated project management system.
Together with this, they showed the professional scientific results by the Institute of Mathematical Cybernetics and Physics (ICIMAF), as well as the Center for Technological Applications and Nuclear Development (CEADEN) and Center for Information Management and Energy Development (CUBAENERGIA).
Thanks to the application of this medical specialty, costly treatments against diseases such as cancer are guaranteed, with positive results in the quality of life of patients.
