IAG Aeronautical Group's Profits Grow
Monday, August 6, 2018

London.- The International Airlines Group (IAG), made up of five commercial airlines, reported profits of 1.408 billion euros from January to June.

The consortium, made up of British Airways, Iberia, Vueling, Aer Lingus and Level, reported an interannual increase of 132 percent in that indicator.

During the period, the group had total revenues of 11.206 billion euros, 9.938 billion of which resulted from tickets.

However, experts warned about the negative effects of strikes by air traffic controllers in France and Italy on the results by Iberia and Vueling.

In the short term, the group plans to start Level flights to destinations like Montreal and Guadeloupe, for which the fleet will be increased to seven A330-200 planes next year.
