Cuban Singer Receives International Award |

Havana.- The 10th edition of the International Song Festival for the Blind, held in Guatemala, granted the second prize to the Cuban blind singer Liliana Alonso.
The Cuban artist studied singing since she was a child in the central province of Villa Clara and was chosen to represent her country in the event due to her results at the national level.
The event, sponsored by the Association of the Blind for Culture and Sports, was attended by 16 singers from several countries of the Americas.
In that regard, Carlos Ramírez, head of Education, Culture and Public Relations of the National Association of the Blind (ANCI), noted that including this, Cuba has won six awards at that international event.
He commented that previously, the Cuban representatives had won three first and two third places.
