Organ Music Festival in Eastern Cuba |

Havana.- The eastern province of Granma hosted the Raquel Morales in Memoriam musical organs Festival, aimed at preserving that cultural tradition.
The event on musical organs, which were declared Intangible Heritage of the Nation, consisted of activities such as competitions and the meeting on instruments where the three best artistic units are awarded.
The 15th edition of the festival, which takes place every year in the municipality of Niquero, was dedicated to the organ La Rumba 1, from Pilón, due to its trajectory and constant participation in the event.
The meeting, the only one of its kind in the country, brought together 13 organs from the province in the streets of the city, as well as a guest group from Sancti Spiritus.
In June 1998, the event first held as the maximum expression of actions to rescue and revitalize that tradition, and it has become one of the most important events in the territory.
