Cuban canoeists Qualify for Pan-American Games in Peru |

Havana.- Cuban canoeists won 12 slots in the same number of opportunities to compete in the Pan-American Games in Lima, Peru in 2019.
The event, held in Canada, granted Cuba the possibility to attend the continental contest with complete teams in the men's and women's categories by winning four spots in canoeing (men and women) and eight in kayak (men and women).
The quotas won were in the men's and women's single canoe, at the distances of 1,000 and 200 meters, respectively, and the two-seater canoe (men and women), at 1,000 and 500 meters, in that order.
In the modality of kayak, Cuba will compete in the K-1 (200 and 1,000 meters), the K-2 (1,000 meters) and the K-4 (500 meters), while the women qualified in the K-1 (200 and 500 meters), the K-2 (500 meters) and the K-4 (500 meters).
In 2015 Pan-American Games, Cuban won six titles, two silver and two bronze medals in canoeing.
