Cuban Rhythmic Gymnastics Achieves Quotas for Lima-2019
Monday, October 8, 2018

Havana.- Cuban rhythmic gymnastics managed to qualify for the Pan American Games in Lima in 2019, with a presence in singles and teams.

Gretel Mendoza and Brenda Leyva sought the position in singles and got the first one with place 14 and an all-around note of 52,650.

Meanwhile, the team intervened with the five-ring programs and the combination of two ropes and three balls, and ended fifth of the maximum accumulator to take one of the six disputed tickets.

The Mexicans won the first place with 38,200 units and were followed in that order by the United States (37,400), Brazil (36,300), Canada (32,750) and then Cuba (31,550).

Meanwhile, competing in the individual category will be complete teams (two gymnasts) from US, Mexico, Brazil, Canada, Colombia and Argentina, while single teams from Cuba, Venezuela, Chile and Puerto Rico will be attending.
