Investments for Agriculture in Eastern Cuba |

Havana.- The agricultural sector of Las Tunas, a province of eastern Cuba, is addressing an investment program to improve crop yields.
In this manner, it foresees the assembly of 75 irrigation systems and the incorporation of another 800 before the end of December, taking into account that only nine percent of the soils are irrigated.
Also, it is predicted the setting up of a plant for the benefit, drying and packing of grains, with the capacity to process about 60 tons per day,.
The plan includes the incorporation of 39 mechanical milking equipment and three ships for the production of seven million eggs, as well as two silos for rice storage.
Likewise, as a support to the activity, the sector acquired more than 120 tractors of different types, 44 sprinklers, 28 harvesters and 18 seeders.
