Havana.- The Oriente Pharmaceutical Laboratory, located in Santiago de Cuba, is promoting the production and commercialization of medicines and natural products.
The lab is testing new formulae, with a view to responding to the demand of the Cuban health system and to export.
For this purpose, it has five production lines endorsed with the Pharmaceutical Operations Sanitary License granted by the Center for State Control of Medicines, Equipment and Medical Devices (Cecmed).
In this way, it produces oral tablets (tablets), large-volume parenteral solutions (serums), hemodialysis concentrates, medical equipment (plastered bandages) and oral rehydration salts.
The entity must provide the country with all the plastered bandages and rehydration salts required, such as 75 percent of the serums and 17 percent of the tablets.
It also produces natural drugs from medicinal plants and apicultural derivatives.
