Havana.- The Cuban health system promotes the use of minimal access surgery, as an effective method in the solution of various ailments.
The activity of the National Center for Minimally Access Surgery facilitates the mastery of basic and advanced techniques of this procedure.
The institution is responsible for training and certificating national and foreign specialists in the field, based on their experience.
In the center, over 600 skull-based surgical interventions have already been carried out, including about 300 hypophyseal adenomas.
The institution holds the status of reference in the country for its results in endoscopic therapy and minimally invasive surgery.
