Exhibition of Slovak Cinema in Havana
Monday, November 12, 2018

Havana.- This month, the Cuban capital hosted an exhibition of the most emblematic motion pictures from Slovakia, as part of the day dedicated to the cinema from that country.

The program included the film The Line, directed by Peter Bebjak, which has been highly acclaimed at international film festivals such as Karlovy Vary.

Other films screened in Havana were Stanko, by Rasto Boros; Our Little Port, by Iveta Grofova; Dirty, by Tereza Nvotova, The Bloody Countess, by Viktor Kubal; and Out by out, by Gyorgy Kristof.

Slovak Culture Minister Lubica Lassakova said that the exhibition allowed the Cuban public to watch feature films that reflect common themes in the two nations.

According to the Slovak Film Institute, there has been an increase in film production, accompanied by better quality and a high artistic level.
