Cuban Sports Industry Recovers
Monday, November 19, 2018

Havana.- The BATOS company, the leading firm in Cuba's sports industry, is recovering by producing supplies for the development of several sports nationwide.

In this direction, the company delivered more than 10,000 balls this year, compared to only 146 in 2017.

In addition, priority is given to uniforms for baseball and other sports, t-shirts and shorts, bats, gloves and balls of all kinds, both synthetic and leather-made.

Some 3,000 bats were supplied to the 58 National Baseball Series, of nearly 12,000 that have been produced this year, all of which were made of Maple timber imported from Canada.

There are still some pending items such as the boats used in rowing and boating, since the raw materials have high prices in the international market.
