Cuban Triathletes Seek Qualification for Lima-2019 |

Havana.- Cuba's best triathletes are training hard to compete in a wide calendar of events, with a view to qualify for the Pan-American Games in Lima, Peru, in 2019.
In that regard, in the recent Ibero-American Triathlon Championship, held in the Dominican Republic, Michel Gonzalez, from Cuba, finished in the tenth place with 57:32 minutes.
The test was dominated by William Huffman (56:24), from the United States, who was escorted by Canada's Taylor Forbes (56:28) and Argentina's Luciano Taccone (56:42).
All of them scored points for their qualification for the Pan-American Games in Lima next year.
Meanwhile, among women, Cuba's Leslie Amat (1:04:49) finished twelfth, in a competition in which Ecuador's Elizabeth Bravo (1:03:13) won the gold medal, followed by Argentina's Romina Biagioli (1:03:36) and Brazil's Beatriz Neres (1:03:43)
Amat also won points for the qualification to the continental event in 2019.
