Havana Marathon Is Recognized Worldwide |

Havana.- The International Marathon of Havana (MARABANA), with 32 editions, is considered among the best of its kind in the world.
According to specialized websites, the event is among the 17 major races on the planet, along with those held in New York, Boston, Chicago, Berlin, London and Tokyo.
Also noteworthy are the marathons of Athens, Barcelona, Madrid, Mexico City, Miami, Paris, Rome and Washington DC.
For those interested in these sporting events, the experts recalled that on the date selected by Cuba, temperatures are far from being excessively high.
Some 6,000 runners, including 1,500 foreigners, took part in the latest edition of MARABANA on November 18.
The winners of the marathon race, at a distance of 42.195 kilometers, were Yudileyvis Castillo and Henry Jaen, from Cuba, in the women's and men's run, respectively.
