Cuba Qualifies in Rowing for Lima-2019

Havana.- Twelve Cuban boats qualified for the Pan-American Games in Lima, Peru, in 2019, at a competition held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Cuban delegation competed with 12 men and five women, headed by Angel Fournier, who the country's best rower.

Fournier dominated the event of single pair with short oars and participated in other modalities, including the double pair with short oars, along with Jorge Felix Patterson.

He was also included in the four pair with short oars modality, along with Boris Luis Guerra, Luis Miguel Guerra and Adrian Oquendo.

The tournament was attended by 16 countries, and in addition to Cuba, the countries that won more qualifications for the regional games in Peru were the United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentina and Chile.
