Cuba Improves Energy Infrastructure
Monday, December 10, 2018

Havana.- The central Cuban province of Cienfuegos will benefit from the services of a modern terminal that will receive and store Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).

The construction of the facility is in its final stage and the plant must start operating in the first weeks of the 2019 fiscal year.

With this center, customers from Santa Clara, Sancti Spíritus, Ciego de Avila and Cienfuegos will benefit, since the plant has a storage capacity of 2,400 cubic meters of LNG.

The project includes connections to the main pumping station, the assembly of electricity and automation systems, and the installation of fire detection systems.

The plant is located on the perimeter of the Industrial Zone of Cienfuegos and its startup will guarantee the supply of this fuel to the national economy.
