Increase in Commercial Airlines' Revenues Predicted |
|
|
Monday, December 10, 2018
New York.- The commercial airlines of the world are expected to close operations in 2018 with revenues from complementary services close to 92.9 billion dollars.
Specialized agencies noted that this result is equivalent to an increase of 13 percent compared to last year.
The experts recalled that complementary services are those that generate cash movement beyond transportation from one place to another.
This section includes actions such as commissions for hotel reservations, miles sales and on-demand services, among other activities.
Traditional airlines plan to raise that indicator by 6.7 percent, based on surcharges for excess baggage, payments for extra space between seats and activities associated with frequent flier programs.
By region, revenues in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and South America still remain at low levels in contrast to those in Europe and North America.
