Havana.- The municipality of Cienaga de Zapata (Zapata Swamp), the largest and least populated area in Cuba, has reported significant improvements in healthcare facilities.
The family doctor's offices in the communities of Soplillar and Palpite benefited from actions such as new carpentry, painting and the installation of new electrical networks.
In addition, the ultrasound service was reestablished in Cayo Ramona, thus facilitating the rapid diagnosis of several ailments.
There is stability in the coverage of personnel in family doctor's offices and specialists were incorporated into health work in remote settlements.
In addition, eight autoclaves were activated in local medical offices, and medical services for tourists were expanded.
