Cuban Athletes to Take Part in Winter Tour
Monday, January 21, 2019

Havana.- Cuba's best athletes will have a busy program of events as part of the so-called winter tour of that sport.

The Cuban delegation is headed by Jordan Diaz (triple jump), an Olympic youth champion with aspirations to reach the senior category although he is 18 years old.

Diaz is training in the German city of Stuttgart and from there, he will travel to the venue of the competition, along with the long jumper Juan Miguel Echevarria and the pole vaulter Yarisley Silva.

The delegation also includes the hurdler Roger Valentin Iribarne, who is scheduled to participate in Val de Revil, France, on February 1.

Cuba's goal is to improve the technical level of the athletes before major outdoors events this year.
